Robert C. Davis, C.P.A.
Robert "Bob" Davis is proud of the fact that Robert C. Davis Accountancy Corporation has been in operation longer than any other accounting practice in Tuolumne County.
Bob received his degree at Loma Linda University and then moved to Sonora, CA in July 1968, as Controller for Sonora Community Hospital. After working at the hospital for several years he obtained his Certified Public Accountant designation and decided to open his own practice. He remained active with the hospital for a number of years as a member of the Board of Directors.
He first hung his shingle at 7 South Forest Road, then moved to 55 Stockton Road in the Cowden Real Estate building next to Bank of America and stayed there until August 1985. At this time the office moved to its present site on Woods Creek Drive.
The practice was expanded to Groveland in 1989 serving Pine Mountain Lake and the Groveland area. Bob is an active member/driver in SCCA (road race cars) and prepares, in his spare time, two GT race cars. Bob is the proud grandfather of three – Austin Davis, Michael Reilly Flannery and Anneka Leidner - and great grandfather of two - Aurora and Adaline Davis.
Emmy Perry, Office Administrator
Emmy joined the team of Robert C. Davis Accountancy Corporation in January 1994 as Data Entry and backup for the front desk. She has moved up to Office Administrator and is the primary contact when the clients call or come to the Sonora office. Emmy provides excellent customer service whether you need immediate assistance or further direction to another staff member. Emmy moved to Tuolumne County in August of 1976, and has two daughters, and is a proud Grandmother to her 2 grandsons, Isaac and Jacob, and granddaughter Natalie.
Austin Davis, Staff Accountant / Enrolled Agent
Austin joined our team in October 2019. He graduated from Fresno State with his bachelor’s degree in business administration/accounting. Before joining our team he was a finacial advisor, and is now able to bring those views and ideas to help with tax planning. Austin earned his Enrolled Agent certificate in January 2023, and is soon expected to sit for the CPA exam as well. Austin and his wife Alexandria were born and raised here in Tuolumne County. Shortly after finishing school and getting married, they moved back here to raise their two daughters, Aurora and Adaline, alongside their dog Remington. Austin is excited to give back to our clients and our community.
Vanessa Lassor, Staff Accountant
Vanessa joined our team in May of 2016 as an office assistant and is now a staff accountant. She graduated from Columbia College with honors and received her Associate's degree in Accounting along with multiple certificates. Vanessa is currently studying to become an Enrolled Agent. Vanessa enjoys spending her spare time outdoors with her two children and her husband. Vanessa is dedicated to assisting our clients with their accounting needs.
Stephanie Bettner, Payroll Clerk / Office Assistant
Stephanie joined our team in 2022 as an office assistant and has moved up to a Payroll Clerk. Stephanie is currently attending Modesto Junior College to further her education and is on her way to receive multiple certificates. Stephanie was born and raised here in Sonora. She enjoys spending her free time with her two children and her fiancé, doing anything outdoors and traveling. Stephanie enjoys helping her clients navigate the day to day and watching their busines's grow.

Jack Gardella, Tax Preparer
Jack joined the firm in June 2018 as a staff accountant. He holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from Sonoma State University where he graduated Cum Laude in 2016. He was born and raised in Jamestown where he is currently raising his family. In addition to running the day to day operations at his family ranch, Jack is dedicated to assisting our office during the busy tax season.
